Iloilo differently-abled persons hold transport forum

Organized by the Iloilo Provincial Federation of Differently Abled Persons (IPFDAP) and Association of Disabled Persons of Iloilo, Inc. (ADPI), the forum aims to advocate the provisions under Republic Act 9442 or the Amended Magna Carta of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and Batas Pambansa Bilang 344 or the Accessibility Law particularly on the transportation concerns.

Compulsory education for disabled students expanded

Education for those between the ages of 5 and 17 will be compulsory this year.

I'm very happy to know that in Korea there is a program that would help persons with disability and it is compulsory so that all have go to school.  I hope someday here in the Philippines we have also that kind of program.

Seminar of the Natural Family Planing and Responsible Parenting

The Association of Disabled Persons Iloilo conducted Natural Family Planing and Responsible Parenting lecture to the persons with disability couples of Association of Differently-Abled Person-Oton, there are 18 couples participated.The activity was supported by the Population Commission (POPCOM) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Oton.  We invited RPM Team from the municipality (town) of Oton, during the Opening program the  Honorable Mayor Vicente Flores give his message of support to the participants.

They are very participative in the discussion and raised questions to clear issues, especially on the topic of Natural family Planning Method. 

After the whole day discussion and open forum, The Department of Social Welfare and Development Office headed by there Municipal Social Welfare Development Officer, Niña Joy Tañada prepared a closing program with the giving of certificates.
